Oliver is a Wanderers Mascot!

HTJFC Logo5 year old Oliver Holmes was one of the match day mascots for the League 2 game on Saturday 16th October between Wycombe Wanderers and Chesterfield

Oliver is learning his football skills in the Holy Trinity Academy under the tutorship of Chris Bis.  It was a big treat for Oliver who also celebrated his birthday in the same week. He attends Hazlemere Church of England school and when he is not playing football, Oliver can be seen on the tennis court working on his serve and volley. His favourite Wycombe players are skipper Gareth Ainsworth, Striker Jon-Paul Pittman and midfielder Kevin Betsy

Sadly Oliver’s appearance did not help WWFC gain a win as they went down 1-2 to the new League 2 leaders. Wycombe probably had the best of the game creating many chances from their attacking style of football, but it was the old story of ‘goals winning matches’ as the visitors took their opportunities helped by a couple of defence lapses by the home side.

Previously Jack Farmer (Holy Trinity Rangers)  was one of the match day mascots at Wycombe Wanderers home game with Shrewsbury on September 25th. Seven year old Jack attends Hazlemere C of E school and loves riding his bike, swimming, running, kick boxing and playing with his friends. His WWFC hero is club captain Gareth Ainsworth. We hope you enjoyed your special day Jack. That day the game ended in a 2-2 draw with Wycombe scoring a late equaliser to send all their supporters home a little happier.
