Massey 2012Former HT Junior Alan Massey, recently moved clubs from Ryman League side Wealdstone to join Braintree Town, who play in the Blue Square Premier League.

This is a good step up for the 23 year old, who made over 200 appearances for Wealdstone having previously been on the books at Wycombe Wanderers. He was player of the year for the Stones in 2008/09 and on leaving the club, his manager said “Alan has been a superb stalwart of this club. He leaves with our full blessing as he fully deserves the opportunity to play at a higher level of football”.

Welcoming him to Braintree, the manager said “Alan is a player I’ve long admired and will help us in the short term with additional defensive cover and also long term in providing more competition for places in the back four. I’m delighted he’s taken this opportunity to join us and I’m confident he’ll do really well for us”.

All those at HTJFC who continue to follow Alan’s career in the game, will want to wish him well at Braintree.
