Congratulations Jim!

Jim Leftwich

Congratulations go out to Jim Leftwich who has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List for service to young people.

Jim has been a trustee and deputy chairman of the National Association of Clubs for Young People for more than 30 years.

In Hazlemere he is also well known as an international co-ordinator for the Amani UK charity based here, a project which helps and supports orphans and widows in Kenya. This is the charity and project that HTJFC has been supporting during the last 15 years or so with various donations and gifts, including our share of the profit from our Tea Bar which is passed onto the Holy Trinity Church. The picture above is from 2000 when Jim received a cheque from HTJFC for the charity in the presence of Roger Johnson, then of Wycombe Wanderers but who now plays for Wolves.

In past years Jim has also been a volunteer helper on Hazlemere Sixes day with stewarding the car parking.

Congratulations to Jim Leftwich OBE from everyone at Holy Trinity Juniors Football Club.
