News from the HTJFC AGM

HTJFC LogoThe Annual General Meeting of Holy Trinity Junior Football Club was held on Monday 1st July.

The main points of interest arising were:

  • 248 children signed on last season
  • whilst HT teams didn’t win any of the leagues in 2012-13, we had some runners up positions and 1 League Cup win.
  • HT teams won 3 of the Respect Awards given out by the Chiltern Church Junior League and HT Tornadoes won the David Hattersley Memorial Cup for overall Fair Play.
  • Main aim for the coming season is to drive forward our coaching standards
  • Paul Baldock re-elected as Club Chairman with Dave Chapman (HT Rangers) stepping up to be Vice-Chairman
  • With Kevin Bennett taking on the coaching of the HT Academy (reception and year one) next season, Russell Thomas with help from Paul Baldock will take on the role of Kit Purchasing Officer. Team managers are asked to plan in advance for each Saturday’s equipment needs!
  • Subscriptions will stay unchanged for the fourth consecutive season, except for a small increase for the HT Academy to reflect our increased investment in that area
  • Hazlemere Sports Association has now repaid to HTJFC the £5,000 that was lent to help with the start up costs of the Ken Williams Memorial Pavilion
  • Whilst HTJFC spent nearly £10,000 more than it took in last season, the cash position is still satisfactory. The additional costs were mainly to provide new rain-tops for adults and children, more kit in general, providing the free summer barbeque – for which a new gazebo was also purchased.
  • The Hazlemere Sixes brought in more money than in most previous years, with slightly higher team entry fees and increased programme sales.
