Holy Trinity Juniors proud to support the FA RESPECT campaign.

Today (Saturday 10th October) was the FA’s RESPECT “Set your Stall Out” day, a chance to remind us all how to behave during a football match.

The promotion of Respect since 2008 has made a real difference to the experience of football.

  • Dissent cautions down by 20%
  • All dismissals down by 13%
  • Misconduct charges down by 10%
  • We now have approximately 28,000 registered referees up from about 23,000 in 2008
  • In the top 16 leagues and divisions in the country, the total number of dissent cautions down by 25% (Premier League by 21%, Championship by 28%)

What this means in reality is a more positive and enjoyable environment for the game to take place in and because of this it’s much more likely that we all keep coming back week after week – whether as players, referees, volunteers, parents or spectators.

Holy Trinity Juniors supported this campaign by displaying posters and information and handing out a few Respect goodies to teams that had a match.
