Falcons are up and flying!
Newly formed HT Falcons played their first and second games of the season on 1st October against St Marys Harefield Colts. The management team of Adrian, Jodie and Trevor had arranged the boys into an impressive team with good distribution of the ball and some fine runs on goal.
They lost the first game narrowly but won the second. The lads seemed to enjoy the games and looked terrific in their new red/blue striped kit.
Your Pavilion awaits You!
Just a reminder that all parents of any member of Holy Trinity Juniors Football Club automatically become a member of the Hazlemere Sports Association and therefore can use the excellent facilities of the new Ken Williams Memorial Pavilion (pictured left)
The function rooms are available to hire for parties etc and you will be entitled to a 25% discount on already very reasonable room hire rates as well as the opportunity to attend members’ social events such as Quiz and Race Nights. The bar is open most evenings should you just wish to call in for a drink at ’club’ prices.

Party in the Park
Beer and Music Festival- Saturday 27th August
A good number of members and friends helped celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the new Pavilion, by joining us for our Party in the Park event on Saturday 27th August, at Hazlemere Rec.
There were several local bands to provide entertainment throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Other attractions included:
- A mini-beer festival with 8 real ales on offer
- A BBQ available throughout the day.
- Mini-soccer for the children.
- A chance to try out bowls on our all-weather surface.
Saturday night was a good night for charity
Gareth “Gaz” Ainsworth, the captain of Wycombe Wanderers sang at a charity gig held at Adams Park on Saturday 16th July, which raised about £3,200. These funds will help renovate a school in a remote and poor part of Brazil. as well as research into cancer. A donation will also be given to the Wycombe Wanderers Community Trust, which does so much good work every day in the local area.
The 38-year-old footballer (who used to sing in his own band) teamed up with local band Subrosa5 (a band that includes three die-hard Wanderers fans) and they entertained the packed Vere Suite with some classic rock covers with Ainsworth taking lead vocals.
The evening started off with a Hog Roast and later three comedians performed on stage as part of a fun-filled night which also included a fun quiz, DJ set, auction and raffle. All proceeds will go towards Cancer Research UK and Project Brazil, which last month saw volunteers renovating a school in a remote part of that country while also raising funds for clinical research back here into neuroblastoma.

One of those 20 volunteers and the organiser of this charity event, is former HT Junior now 23 year old Matt Cecil. Matt now works as a Media Assistant at Wycombe Wanderers and after jumping out of a plane last year in aid of servicemen’s charity took on this new exciting challenge for 2011 by joining the Project Brazil team.
If you were not able to make the event, then you can help Matt’s fundraising via this link http://www.justgiving.com/mattcecil87

Once again Hazlemere Recreation Ground was packed with young footballers, their families and supporters on Saturday 28th May for the annual Hazlemere Sixes tournament.
The Under 7s and Under 8s played in non competitive leagues ( in accordance with FA guidelines) and all participants went home with a medal each.
The best home team performance came in the Under 16s where HT Thistle made it through to the Cup Final only to lose 0-1 to Aylesbury Town.

In the Under 10s, HT Eagles (pictured left taking pre-match advice from team manager Helen) made it to the semi final stage before losing to the eventual winners.

The organisers would like to thank all their programme sponsors and the on-site concessions plus everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
Many people took on the setting up and clearing away tasks, plus programme selling, car park stewarding, litter picking, refereeing and result collating – far too many to mention here, but all equally appreciated.
While the winning youngsters went home with their trophies, the HTJFC committee retired to the Ken Williams Memorial Pavilion for a well deserved beer and curry while watching the Champions League Final!
